After spending his childhood in Seattle playing tennis, Joey has dedicated his career to tennis. Find out a little more about our tennis pro, Joey Grady, from his top snack bar choice (it’s a good one) to his motivational mantra. He’s an integral part of our family here at Cathedral Oaks Athletic Club and we’re thrilled to introduce you to him!
Tell us a little about yourself – what got you started in a life of tennis?
I grew up playing in Seattle. I started playing with my father during the summers, then year-round by going indoors during the winter.
How can tennis lessons help tennis players?
Tennis lessons can help a player at any level get better and have more fun.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with kids and adults to improve their tennis game and seeing the results and impact it can have.
How can tennis help young kids?
Tennis can help young kids improve health both in body and mind. Self confidence and learning lessons about life along the way.

Swell’s 4 Har-Tru clay and 6 newly resurfaced hard courts.
What do you always have in your gym bag?
Advil, athletic tape, music.
